the finer details

The Mindful Maker Sydney

Your essential workshop ‘need-to-knows’.

We encourage you to go through this outline for more on the most common questions we receive – full details are provided for you in our Terms and Conditions.

The Mindful Maker Sydney is a trading subsidiary of The Grace Files Pty Ltd (ABN 65 617 569 632).

We're looking forward to meeting you soon!

We’ll provide you with all you’ll need during your creative time with us. Just in case, best to check your workshop outline to see if you’re required to bring anything specific to your particular session.

Please let us know if you have more specific queries or requirements: email [email protected] or call 0468 424 437.

See what we’re up to on both Instagram and Facebook.

Our location

The Mindful Maker Sydney is open strictly during workshop times only, in Killara NSW. We will send you the address once you have booked your class.

Please enter our workshop and event space via the front door situated above a flight of stairs.

As there are no level entranceways, we are regrettably unable to offer wheelchair / disabled access.

Parking and public transport

By car ample on-street parking is available.

Public transport – both Killara and Lindfield Railway Stations are approximately 2km away. Each station connects with bus route no. 565, reaching our location within 10 mins.

Taxis or Ubers from either station are also an option and take around 6-8 mins to get to us.

By foot – around 30 mins if you feel like a good walk!

What to wear on the day

Whatever you’ll feel comfortable in – and if you’re booked for a class in our kitchen, we’ll have an apron here for you.

However, please wear flat fully closed-in shoes to our sessions – no sandals/open-toe shoes. This is for your safety and a precaution against any hot spills or sharp objects.

In these COVID-19 times, while not mandatory, please feel comfortable to wear a mask if you would like. Hand sanitiser, spare masks and hand washing facilities are readily available.

What to expect

Our workshops are either make-it-yourself classes or hands-on demonstrations.

We purposefully keep our numbers small to maximise your creative experience with ample engagement with our experienced teachers.

We aim to have you leave with the knowledge and confidence to continue your chosen creative activity at home.

Plus, you’ll have the opportunity to make new friendships and connections with other attendees over delicious refreshments either during or after the workshop session.

We’re keen to share the fun we have together with others across our promotional channels including social media, website and newsletters, so please let us know before the start of any class or event if you’d prefer not to be included in our photography.

Our number one priority at The Mindful Maker Sydney is to care for all who come along to our workshops and events. We all want to have the best experience possible, so we ask that you be respectful of others at all times.

Our full Terms and Conditions are detailed here.

Please note, our home kitchen uses gluten flours, dairy, nuts, egg and other potential allergens. Please let us know if you have any questions or dietary requirements when making your booking.

Our cancellation policy

To comply with COVID-19 regulations, please let us know before attending the workshop if you are unwell or have any flu-like symptoms so we can either welcome the person you’ve sent in your place or arrange an alternative date for your booking.

Workshop bookings are non-refundable, but you are welcome to send someone in your place in case you’re unable to attend on the day.

Otherwise, we have a strict 14-day minimum cancellation/transfer policy which we ask you to respect. Please know we’ll require more than 14 days’ notice for any changes made to a booking.

Please ensure that you have read and understand our cancellation, refunds and other return policies in our Terms and Conditions.

As an overview:

  • Changes made before 14 days from your workshop date can be transferred to another workshop or offered as a credit to be used within 6 months. It is your responsibility to re-book into another workshop for a date that suits.
  • Bookings may only be transferred to another workshop once. After this, you cannot transfer or gain a credit. Your booking is considered forfeited.
  • Cancellations made within 14 days or less of the workshop date are unable to be transferred or credited. You’re welcome to send someone in your place, otherwise you forfeit your place in the workshop. We’ll require at least 24 hours’ notice before the session if someone is coming in your place, so please let us know via email.
  • Should you have a change of mind or your availability alters, please note bookings to our sessions or events are non-refundable.
  • The Mindful Maker Sydney reserves the right to cancel workshops. In this case, you are entitled to a full refund, or a transfer to another session of the same value within 6 months.

For any changes to your booking, please email [email protected] or call 0468 424 437.

Something special for you - or that special someone

Featuring favourite artisanal, handmade goodies, our little pop-up store is available only during workshop sessions. If you would like to purchase out of these special times, please get in touch.

We also offer gift certificates for personalised giving, in either e-card or printed options.

Your gift certificate contains a unique coupon code which needs to be applied during the checkout stage of booking a class. Gift certificates can also be redeemed by emailing or calling us on 0468 424 437 to book a particular workshop.

Group bookings

Looking for a memorable experience for a hen’s party, a special family or friend’s celebration, team building – or just a great afternoon out with friends?

We love taking special group bookings for between 6 to 8 attendees, aged over 18 years. Pricing for this will be dependant on the number of attendees, event duration and type of workshop. Please email us your enquiry.

There will more than likely be goodies to enjoy as part of the fun – and even more to take home – all dependent on the type of experience you choose.

See you soon!
