We’re excited to present an afternoon that’s a little lusciously different to our classic ‘Scone 101’ workshop. This time we have another 3 delectable scone bakes to specially celebrate Mother’s Day.

You’ll want to share this with your mum, your nan, a precious loved one or a friend – or simply come along and get into the truly delicious fun. Learn to make and bake so you can spoil those you love this Mother’s Day – or any day!

WHAT YOU WILL LEARN

In this workshop, you will learn the art of making:

• the perfect pumpkin scone
• a moreish, savoury cheese scone variation, and
• our show-stopping signature: the ultimate ‘scone cake’.

Each one truly easy to master – light, fluffy and delectably irresistible every time. We will enjoy sampling them all with a glass of bubbles when we sit down for our ‘high tea’ after an afternoon of baking together.

Whether you’re an absolute beginner to baking, have been to our classic scone masterclass or already know your way around an oven, our CWA scone master, Sil, will take you through all the steps, tips and tricks to ensure you master the art of presenting the iconic scone in even more deliciously ‘wowing’ ways.

Our little pop-up shop will also be open, showcasing gorgeous handmade treasures for that special gift or take-home treat. Perfect pre Mother’s Day shopping!

Please note, this workshop offers refreshments which include gluten flours, dairy, nuts, egg and other potential allergens.

A few days before the workshop you will receive an email confirming details including the workshop address in Killara, on Sydney’s North Shore.

Workshop bookings are non-refundable but you’re welcome to send someone in your place if you can’t attend.

The ticket is also non-transferable after the workshop has been held in case you forgot to come, or were unable to attend.

ABOUT YOUR TEACHER, SILVANA GRIFFIN

Former President of the Country Women’s Association Sydney City Branch (CWA), Sil is an avid home baker and preserver and has been awarded numerous blue ribbons in baking, preserving and handicraft across branch, group and State levels over the last 12 years.

Keen to share her love of scone-making, Sil will help demystify this revered skill, answer your questions and set you on your way to making and baking with confidence.
