In this workshop, you will embroider your choice of festive words on beautiful linen napkins, creating bespoke keepsakes. Our superb, large linen napkins are superior grade 100% French flax.

Gift to family or friends, use to wrap another present or grace your festive table with sentiments that show those you love what is in your heart.

Easily learn to master an essential embroidery stitch so you can embellish beautiful pieces with words you love. Please note, a little hand-stitching or embroidery experience will be required.

Embroidery is meditative and therapeutic and can help improve your mental and emotional health – especially at this crazy time of year!

WHAT YOU WILL LEARN

In this workshop you will embroider 2 linen napkins, focussing on:

• your choice of 2 words from a curated handwritten selection of 15, all provided on soluble transfers. Take home another 4 words with your kit
• how to begin and end your work on an heirloom piece
• how to use soluble design transfers
• how to stitch curved lines using stem stitch (and French knots if required) on a practice piece before embarking on your project
• creating 2 gorgeous, bespoke linen napkins. Extra matching napkins will be available for sale should you wish to make more than the 2 supplied
• all you need for the class is included for you.

Whether you’re new to stitching or already know your way around a needle, our CWA handicraft award winner, Sil, will take you through all the steps and tips to get you stitching your treasures.

*Please note, this workshop includes refreshments which include gluten flours, dairy, nuts, egg and other potential allergens.

Come along to our Makers Mornings or Evenings for a great couple of hours over scrummy treats bringing along whatever you’re working on at the time. Workshop bookings are non-refundable but you’re welcome to send someone in your place if you can’t attend.
